Find out about Curtin Malaysia at Curtin Info Day events in Penang, Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur

Miri – 25 January 2018 – School-leavers interested to enrol in foundation or degree courses at Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) are invited to attend the university’s upcoming Curtin Info Day recruitment events in Penang, Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur.

Curtin Info Day in Penang will be on 27 January 2018 at The Wembley Hotel. This will be followed by a similar event at Holiday Villa Hotel in Johor Bahru on 28 January, and at Aloft KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur on 2 March. All the events will be from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Mystery gifts will be given to those submitting on-the-spot applications on the day or who have submitted applications prior to the event.

The intake for the first semester is now in progress with classes for undergraduate programmes commencing on 26 February 2018 and foundation programmes on 26 March 2018.

The Curtin Info Day aims to provide potential students and their parents with all the necessary information required regarding admissions, courses, loans and scholarships. Lecturers from the faculties of Engineering & Science, Business and Humanities will also be present to help them make informed decisions about choice of courses and enrolment.

They can also find out more about scholarships and loans available, including the Curtin Malaysia Merit Scholarships for school leavers with outstanding results in the SPM, STPM, O-Level, A-Level and UEC examinations, as well as PTPTN study loans.

Potential students are advised to bring along their actual or forecasted results for on-the-spot assessment and application purposes.

Successful applicants for foundation courses paying their course fees in full before 25 February 2018 will be given RM500 rebates.

Curtin Malaysia, the largest international campus of Curtin University and its global hub in Asia, offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and related sciences, business and humanities, as well as one-year courses at foundation level that feed directly into the undergraduate programmes.

All engineering courses are accredited by both Engineers Australia and Board of Engineers Malaysia, while the B.Eng. (Chemical Engineering) is also accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineering (ICHemE), United Kingdom.

Curtin Malaysia delivers business courses from the Curtin Business School in Perth, which is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Accounting and finance courses are also recognised by CPA Australia, Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

Curtin University is currently ranked in the top one percent of universities worldwide in the highly regarded Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2017 and rose significantly to 262nd position in the world in the QS World University Ranking (QSWUR) 2017-18, up from 306th in 2016-17.
